{SheFi} The future is

You will hear about SheFi. It will be about the future. And something here does not sound familiar. When was the last time anyone you know spoke about the future? I mean, for real? Will you remember? Is time still a thing?

You will apply and wait for an answer. You will get in. Check your spam, please.

What is this about, really? Freedom, ownership, money, community? Be my guest, do your own research. Chances are we are all missing something. Can someone post a definitive list of what you really want and need?

Now, think about the questions you should really be asking. The most important things. And set a reminder.

Is blockchain memory?

We owe to ledgers the world we live in. We divided grains and beasts; we began to specialize. We needed to trade and to keep a record of it. So we started to write. Yes, this is about bookkeeping. Let’s not fight about it. Literature will soon appear, I promise: you won’t regret it.

And you know there will be no coming back from this. You’ve learned to read. You’ve learned to have keys to protect your belongings. You would do it all over again. And you will.

Do not worry about asymmetric cryptography. This is fun, maybe you wrote an open source library to play with it. Or, well, at least someone did. Rest assured: this is not a requirement by any means.

What about community?

I think therefore I am is a complete fantasy. You already know this. We did not acquire language on our own, nor did we grow the food we ate when we were three. We survived as a biped species by helping mothers birth their babies. We need society.

Nothing new here. But who gets to decide what holds value? Could we reset the whole thing? Can we ensure trust? Transparency? Could we build better communities?
